Donate

Our parish provides facilities and support for prayer, sacraments, evangelization, spiritual learning, ministering to others, and gathering in community with each other.  Your financial support for Stewardship provides for Holy Family’s day-to-day operations as well as outreach to the community so that together we can continue to share the Good News and help our brothers and sisters in need.

In addition to Stewardship donations, there are periodic special collections offered for various Catholic charities.  Holy Family also has an active Outreach Program.  Donations to Outreach help support many ministries that assist people in our community and beyond.  These donation options are available through our Pushpay giving site or parish envelopes.  You can also contact the parish office if you are using a 3rd party donation option.

If you have any questions about parish giving, please send an email to Pam Carbonetti, pamc@hfkparish.org or call the parish office, 425-822-0295.

Thank you for your generosity to our parish.  Your gifts matter—and they make a difference!

In addition to supporting the day-to-day operations of the parish through Stewardship, you can also support:

  • Outreach – Your Outreach donations help support the many ministries that provide outreach to the community. If you would like to direct your donation to a specific Outreach group, then you can add a memo (to your Pushpay donation or check) that specifies which program you would like to support. For example, Thanksgiving Meal, New Bethlehem, refugee assistance, etc.
  • St. Vincent De Paul – These donations go directly to our local SVDP chapter to support the food pantry and other services for those in need within our parish boundaries.
  • Holy Family Parish School – Your generous donations help our wonderful school.
  • HFK Café – Your donations help pay for the donuts, coffee and other hospitality offered at Café.
  • Holy Days – These donations support all the Holy Days throughout the year, like Christmas, Easter, Immaculate Conception, etc.
  • Debt Reduction – These donations help pay for our loan for the construction of the Parish Center.
  • Special Collections – There are various collections taken throughout the year including Rice Bowl, Catholic Home Missions, Peter’s Pence, and more. There are also special collections that occur for disaster relief.
  • Memorial – If you would like to honor the memory of a family member with a donation, then you can make a memorial donation in their name.

Ways to Give Beyond Cash

Qualified Charitable Distribution

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. A QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income, which is unlike regular withdrawals from an IRA. QCDs don’t require that you itemize, which due  to recent tax law changes, means you may decide to take advantage of the higher standard deduction but still use a QCD for charitable giving.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund is like a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor advised fund, youare generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Funds are disbursed at your discretion.

IRA

By utilizing an IRA for charitable giving, you can satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) obligations starting at age 73, while also supporting a cause you care about. The donated amount is excluded from your taxable income, which can provide a tax advantage, especially if you do not itemize deductions.

Matching Gifts

Apply for a MATCHING GIFT from your employer. Some companies may have religious restrictions on Matching gifts, however, your gift may be eligible for a match if funds are for an outreach ministry or parish school.
