Women's Retreat

Growing in Truth, Beauty and Goodness

Is there any woman who doesn’t want to be beautiful? Every woman longs for beauty, and yet a beauty lacking in truth and goodness can leave her feeling empty inside.  While growing up, I recall experiencing this at Christmas Eve Mass, sitting in the pew after having spent hours on my appearance, it occurred to me that I hadn’t done a thing to prepare my heart.

Our Holy Mother Church knows our hearts as women and that our longing for beauty goes deeper than mere appearances.  This is why she gives us the season of Advent so that we have the time and the space to prepare our hearts in union with the Blessed Mother.  Join us in this Advent Retreat for Women, to allow the Holy Spirit to beautify your heart for the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, He who is beauty, truth, and goodness incarnate.

Please join us for “Growing in Beauty, Truth, and Goodness: An Advent Retreat for Women” on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Holy Family Social Hall, hosted by Sister Gabriella Yi, O.P. Sr. Gabriella is a Dominican Sister of St. Cecilia from Nashville, TN. Originally from Seoul, Korea, she grew up near Philadelphia, PA.
