Meals for Homeless Families

The New Bethlehem Day Center and the Overnight Shelter, now open all year around, need meals.  Sign up at http://signup.com/go/tMaKqVQ or contact Andrea in the parish office to provide for the Overnight Shelter.  Contact volunteer@nbpshelter.org for the Day Center.

Greeting Committee 

We are building a new team to design a warm, welcoming experience for our weekend Masses.  We are seeking members inspired by the Holy Spirit for our start-up committee.  Our fun team can use all God-given personalities and talents.  For more information, please contact Jack Byrne.

Connect Groups - Is your home available?

Due to the overwhelming response we are in need of parishioners willing to host a Connect Group once a month.  Your home should be large enough to accommodate 24 people.  No need to provide food or anything else, just your hospitality!  If you are interested in sharing your home or want more information please contact Jim or Amy Kirschner at jimamy3js@msn.com.

Music Ministry - Rehearsals Resume in September

The King's Choir and Pro Deo Choir are looking for new members.  If you are interested in joining, rehearsals resume this month.  The King's Choir (9am Mass) rehearses on Thursday evenings.  They begin rehearsals on 9/21 at 7pm in the school music room.  The Pro Deo Choir (11am Mass) rehearses on Tuesday evenings.  They begin rehearsals on 9/19 at 7pm in the school music room.  No sign up or audition necessary, just come to the rehearsal for the choir you would like to join.  Questions?  King's Choir - contact Becky at music.mommy4@live.com.  Pro Deo Choir - Melissa at headrick.m@gmail.com.  Help bring the love of God to life with music!

Friday Daily Mass Time Change - September 8th

Our Friday morning Mass time will change to 8:45am due to the start of a new school year.  Monday-Thursday and Saturday morning Mass will continue to be at 8:40am.  

New Evening Nursery Hours - September 11th

Beginning Monday, September 11th, Holy Family will offer childcare in the nursery from 6:45-9:15pm, Monday-Thursday evenings to support parents participating in parish events and ministries.  For more information, please contact Karen Schweitzer, karens@hfkparish.org

Scouting at HFK

Troop 570 and Pack 615 are beginning their 57th year of scouting at Holy Family Parish.  Come join the fun, adventure and community.  Boy Scouts meet Tuesday nights at 7:15pm beginning September 12th.  Parent and Scout Informational Meeting is on September 26th at 7:15pm.  Cub Scouts meet one Friday a month at 6:30pm beginning September 15th.  All Scout meetings are held in the Holy Family Parish School Cafeteria.  For more information, contact John Elsbree @ john@elsbree.org for Boy Scouts, Gary Johnson @ hfkpack615@gmail.com for Cub Scouts.  

Men's Ministry - September 20th

Men's Ministry kicks off Wednesday, September 20th, with 6:30am Mass in the Church, and coffee/donuts in the Social Hall afterwards.  All men in the parish and their friends are invited.  Starting Wednesday, September 27th, join the Men's Ministry for breakfast at 6am in the Social Hall, and a challenging video from Fr. John Riccardo. 

Alpha - September 20th

Potluck Luncheon & Line Dancing - September 20th

RCIA Inquiry Sessions - September 21st

Well-Read Mom - September 21st

New book club!  You are invited to come and learn about a Well-Read Mom (WRM) small group forming at HFK.  Well-Read Mom is a way for women to reclaim time to read great books.  It is open to mothers and women of all ages and life stages who want to discuss literature in light of their maternal calling.  Join us Thursday, September 21st, 7:15-8:30pm in the St. Martin Room for our kickoff meeting.  No prereading required.  Registration and this year's book list can be found at www.wellreadmom.com.  Please RSVP or send inquiries to Rachael Claridge (HFKWRM@gmail.com).  Scholarships available.

Escape to Peace Luncheon - September 21st

Blood Drive - September 23rd

Holy Family will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday, September 23rd.  Please come and help us reach our goal of 150 donors!  This blood drive is in honor of children suffering from cancer, many of whom rely on blood transfusions to survive.  To schedule your time to donate please go to schedule.bloodworksnw.org and type in Sponsor Code 260A or call Andrea in the Parish Office.  Give blood, save a life!

Discernment Night - September 27th

Wondering where God is calling you? Learn more about a vocation to the priesthood with Fr. Todd Strange, discover tips on prayer, and discern where God might be calling you!  Mass at 6pm at St. Joseph's Parish in Issaquah, WA.  Reception following Mass with refreshments and small group discussions.  Open to men ages 15-40.  RSVP to Fr. Laudato Si' - September 30th

Join Holy Family Care for Creation Ministry at St. James Cathedral on September 30th at 10:30am for Mass to celebrate the Season of Creation.  Join Christians worldwide to commemorate the Season of Creation, the time between September 1st (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) and October 4th (Feast day of St. Francis of Assisi).  We invite all people of faith to celebrate the joy which the Earth shares with us.  Let us come together to thank God for the richness that is in the Creation which we share.  Father Michael G. Ryan will preside the Mass.

Pivotal Players - October 3rd

Join us Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30pm in the parish social hall for the 80 minute film, Michelangelo- The Artist.  There will be a brief discussion afterwards.   

Celebration for Fr. Steve - October 4th

On October 4th, we will celebrate Fr. Steve's 90th birthday, his 65th year in the priesthood and 20 years at Holy Family.  We will be having brunch in the Social Hall after morning Mass and the blessing of the animals.  If you would like to join in the celebration, please RSVP to Andrea (andreal@hfkparish.org) in the parish office.

60th Anniversary Celebration - HFK School - October 6th

The Cooking Priest - November 10th/11th

Fr.
